Where is Blackbird & Violet based?
Northern Victoria, Australia.

Do you do any customs?
Yes! We offer Custom Shape Cutters & also Custom Transfer Papers.

How long after I place my order will be it be sent?
Please check our Postage Page for current time frames. Our standard is 1-2 business days.
NB: Some products are made to order (acrylic, silicone molds etc & during busy/high volume periods may add an additional 1-2 days to your processing time.

Once posted how long will my parcel take to get to me?
We exclusively use AusPost, current domestic Express & Parcel Post estimates can be found here: https://auspost.com.au/service-updates/domestic-delivery-times

Can I combine orders/add to my order?
As our dispatch time is often quite fast, we can’t guarantee it’s always possible. If you’ve placed a second (or third or fourth!) order & want to see if the weights can be combined to save shipping, please email us at orders@blackbirdandviolet.com. Please note Mix+Match deals cannot be honoured across multiple orders.

Can you hold my order/an item?
Sorry we do not hold orders or items.

I live locally, can I pick up my order?
Sorry at this stage we do not offer pick ups.

Parcel arrived and something is wrong/damaged/missing?
Please email us at orders@blackbirdandviolet.com with your order details and attach photos of any issues so we can help correct asap.

What currency is the site in & how much is shipping to my country?
All prices are in AUD. We do not offer checkout in alternative currencies, your bank will likely convert this for you if you are Internationally based. Shipping is calculated by country & weight, the best way to find out is to fill your cart & begin the checkout process.

I didn’t get a Order Confirmation/Shipping email?
Quite often emails can be filtered to Junk Folders, have a check there first. If it’s not there it was most likely a misentered email at checkout – email us at orders@blackbirdandviolet.com with your Full Name the order was placed under & date & we’ll get it sorted & emails re-sent to you.

A product I want is Out Of Stock, what now?
We often don’t have an exact date/time for when a product will be restocked, so the best way to be notified when it has returned is to sign up to be notified on the product listing. There is a pink button “EMAIL WHEN AVAILABLE” on the listing - on PC you will find this on the bottom right of the page, on Mobile it is anchored to the bottom of your phone screen. Clicking this & filling out your details will sign you up for a single email when we restock the item, we do not keep this email or sign you up to anything else.

How do I know when new products are coming/things are going to be restocked?
Our Instagram is our main source of communication, especially stories. We recommend adding us to your Favourites Feed & checking out our stories daily! https://www.instagram.com/blackbirdandviolet/

What safety gear do I need to work with Epoxy Resin?
For SDS & TDS sheets, head to the resin brand specific website (i.e Barnes, JustResin) for their official documents. The utmost care should be taken when using Epoxy Resins and we do not recommend under 18's using them. If your child is interested in Resin pouring, perhaps start them off with the non-toxic Acrylic Resin instead!

Can I sell molds I make from your shapes?

Our Shape Cutters, Acrylic Components & Blanks are sold with the right to use them to make jewellery for yourself or to sell. You also have the right to use them to make molds for your own use (to then make a final product such as jewellery to sell). You may not use them make molds and then sell those molds as that is in conflict with our business. Thank you for your understanding of these copyright rights & if you have any further questions or need clarity, don't hesitate to shoot us an email.

What Epoxy Resin should I use?
If you’re a beginner, we recommend Health of Mind Pure Glass for doming and Barnes EpoxyCast or Health of Mind Castaway for casting. We only recommend UV Resin for adhering earring hardware and creative applications NOT doming.

This is all so exciting, how do I learn more about using Polymer Clay/Epoxy Resin/Acrylic Resin etc?
